In 2024, Re/Match awarded 5 Chicago visual artists an unrestricted grant of $10,000 who collectively capture the robust energy, production, and range of the visual arts field in Chicago.

Artists are nominated via a committee of leaders in the visual arts field and invited to submit an application reviewed by a panel of jurors.

Awarded artists must be the following:

  • Resident of one of the six-county Chicago metropolitan area —Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will Counties. (Citizenship is not required.)

  • Committed to their art practice through the ongoing act of creating new work.

  • Not currently enrolled in school or academic program.

  • Has been living and making work in the Chicago area for a minimum of 4 years, and is dedicated to making work in Chicago.

  • Does not have gallery representation, or has representation with annual sales under $40,000 (roughly).
