Re/Match is currently by nomination only.

Artists are nominated via a committee of leaders in the visual arts field and invited to submit an application reviewed by a panel of jurors.  

The nomination committee changes by at least 50% annually and is composed of artists, academics, curators, and art administrators.

Awarded artists must be the following:

• Resident of one of the six-county Chicago metropolitan area —Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will Counties. (Citizenship is not required.)

• Committed to their art practice through the ongoing act of creating new work in Chicago for the next year.

• Not currently enrolled in school or academic program.

• Has been living and making work in the Chicago area for a minimum of 4 years, and is dedicated to making work in Chicago.

• Does not have gallery representation, or has representation with annual sales under $40,000 (roughly).
